It's Sunday again and time to share with you 7 sexy sentences. This week I am going to share 7 more from Not Just Friends again. These aren't really sexy, but funny. I think it might be my favorite lines from the whole book--maybe. There is a lot of humor. :) Connor reached out, touching her shoulder. “Do we have a deal?” Oh God, she was supposed to speak. She wasn’t sure that part of her was working any longer. “Uh-huh.” Connor grinned at her, a dimple forming on his cheek. “What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue?” No, a cat did not have her tongue. In fact, if a cat did, she was pretty sure she’d be screaming right about now, not being mute.

I just watched a great You Tube video and I've posted it below to give this author Sara Humphreys all the credit she deserves. Watch it, it's worth it.
Anyway, the topic of this video was pirating books vs. letting friends borrow books (she discussed difference with paperbacks). And she hit on a great point. And it might not be a way people have been thinking about it in the past. Yes, it is harder to share a great eBook with a friend. I've read some before and wanted to share them. Typically on kindles or nooks you can share them. Though, some pubs turn the lending feature off, which I think is stupid. But, that's a whole other topic. Yes, pirated eBooks and sharing one with a friend is different! Welcome to WWOW Wednesday, where an assortment of authors give you tips on writing, publishing, after publishing, and more. Today I am going to keep my post short and to the point. Asking for help! We all need it. Whether you're published or not, in some way do you need another writer's help. Even if it's just a shoulder to lean on and discuss ideas. Or perhaps you're having troubles with a story and you need someone to talk you through. Sales down, maybe someone can give you pointers. At some point, you're going to need help. About two weeks ago, I made a decision about my blog. I want it back!
Okay, so it's always been mine. And I've always enjoyed promoting other authors on it. But I got to thinking, I really wanted my author blog to be a more personal place. Somewhere where readers can connect with me. So, I created Find Your Next Read. It's a blog (you can get there in the menu header), and this is the place where you can find all my promo for authors. Reviews, guest posts, interviews, and more. All the things there were here before. Lately I've been reading a lot of marketing books. I've been feeling like my career is in a slump. And I want to get over it, move forward. And now more than ever, I am ready to take those hurdles. I've sat and thought a lot lately about my career and where I want it to take me. I've weighed out different options and I have a plan set in motion right now. Sometimes the hardest thing is making those decisions. You feel like maybe you should be doing something else, but your heart is telling you something else. Oh, and the muse! I'm determined to make 2013 my year! FREE ON AMAZON MARCH 25TH-29TH! Wilbur was used to going to his college formals alone. He thought the Halloween Ball would be no different. He’s amazed when a beautiful girl in a Victorian costume displays an interest in him and even more amazed to find himself alone with her on one of the campus nature trails. She has chosen Wilbur as her next victim. Amazon Buy Link Welcome to sexy snippet Sunday where I share 7 sentences. Today I am going to share with you seven sexy sentences from my new release, NOT JUST FRIENDS. She expected him to open the door and looked forward to the few seconds alone, but instead, he spun around, wrapped a hand around her waist, and captured her lips with his. It started soft and sensual. Which was good. Alyssa wasn’t sure she was breathing because she could not believe she was standing in a parking lot kissing Connor. But then, his tongue slipped into her mouth and every coherent thought left her. All she could do was enjoy. He was a pro at kissing. And she wished like hell they could explore this a little further, but going to jail for indecent exposure probably wasn’t the best way to end a date. I read a lot this week! Up first was the first book in the Night Series, THE FIRST NIGHT by Sidda Lee Tate. I had picked this one up a little bit ago, just hadn't had a chance to read it. The second book in the series released, prompting me that I needed to read the first. I loved it! It gripped me from the first page all the way to the last. I kid you not, I'm thankful this was a novella. I didn't get up until I had read the entire thing. And then...I quickly downloaded the second book, HIJACKED. Yes folks, they are that good! Anyway, in THE FIRST NIGHT, we get the more reserved friend Kayla who finds herself very attracted to the bar owner, Gannon. Kayla let's go and decided to be a little more adventurous than she usually is. The chemistry is there from the beginning with these two. And I like the little twist that the author tossed in. Nope, my lips are sealed. :) Amazon |
