I have my dear friend Tamaria Soana on the blog today. Tamaria often helps me keep my sanity in this wild world of writing. So, today is her release day for Naughty Little Bedtime stories. It can be found on Amazon, Nook, and other third party eBook stores. As well as a giveaway. Come learn a little more about these stories. One is sure to tickle your fancy. ![]() Naughty Little Bedtime Stories by Tamaria Soana Release Day Blitz and Giveaway - September 17th! Bedtime stories that will heat up your night Naughty Little Bedtime Stories contains twelve short stories that will arouse your senses. You’ll find stories that contain light bondage, food play, ménage (m/m/f), and other erotic events. Each story has a different setting and couple who explore all things naughty in and out of the bedroom. Content Warning: adult language, graphic sexual situations. It's common as a writer to have goals. So far, my goals as far as my career on are on track. A few changes came, such as I am doing more contemporary romance now then erotic, but a contemporary can still be just as sexy.
I've always set word count goals as well. But to be honest, I've never made myself keep them. Well, that changed with my latest work in progress. I wanted to have it done by the end of September, in revisions in the beginning of October, and hitting the slush piles by mid October. That's a lot of work, considering my goal is to write 50,000 words. To this date, my longest published work is 30,000 words. I am happy to say that Bidding Wars just hit 30,000 words and still has a lot more story to tell. My goal currently is 10,000 words a week. That way if I have a day it just isn't flowing, versus a day it is, I don't feel any pressure to write a certain amount a day. And its worked well. I've completed that goal each week. Now that I have comfortably completed that goal for the last three weeks, its time to push it a little. I'd like to say 15,000 this week, but that might be pushing it. So, I am going to go with 12,000. I am loving this story and its flowing. I have two readers, reading it as I write, giving me excellent feedback. I know the places I need to go back and work on-- when these pesky characters quit pushing me forward in the story. But, I have the notes written down, and the changes may come when its complete. Pushing on and upward, that's my motto with this book. I hope to see great things come from it. I for one have been putting my heart and sole into it. Wish me luck! I might need it, the hubby is on vacation next week. I have the awesome Sonia Hoghtower on the blog today. September is a BIG month for her. She is relaunching some of her books. And I am very excited. Several of these will be added to my kindle. ![]() Follow the confessions of Juan and Maria as they fall prey to lust at first sight. Can they stop themselves before it's too late, or will they become victims of their own sinful urges? A new neighbor sends Juan running to confession to rid himself of the lustful thoughts he experiences. Each confession becomes more erotic, more sinful than the last. Can Juan stop himself, or will he give in to the desire that threatens his very faith? The man across the street causes Maria to question her own morals. When she seeks out a priest for confession, she weaves a tale of exotic kisses and stolen moments. How can Maria find sanctuary in her prayers when her body demands she finds solace in her neighbor's arms? Warning: NOT a romance. May contain steamy, first person narrative that makes one uncomfortable, content that will raise your eyebrows, and a tragic ending. What is the working title of your book?
Bidding Wars Where did the idea come from for the book? We recently bought a house and its was a battle field out there. In return, it gave me an idea for a story about two people wanting the same house and battling it out. What genre does your book fall under? This is a contemporary romance. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Hmmm, Katie Holmes would be a good Molly Harper and Gerard Butler would make an excellent Luke Logan. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Luke wants Molly and the house, but he has to decide which one he wants more. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? I am looking to send this one to one of the bigger publishers and cross my fingers and hope for success. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? I have written 20,000 words in two weeks. I am hoping for this one to be around 50,000 and have it done before September ends. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Hmmm, let's go with Susan Mallery, Kristen Higgins, and Jill Shalvis. Who or What inspired you to write this book? The process of buying a home inspired this book. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? I think the story line is a little different and I hope that gets reader's attention. Now, “Tag! You’re it!” Ella Jade Tamaria Soana Mary Sue Wehr Bare Necessities, the second book in the Brookfield Series is almost complete with edits. So, I thought I would share the first chapter of the book. I love Ava and Seth. These two had a lot of chemistry and really heated up the pages with it in this contemporary romance (non-erotic). Currently, this book is set to release near the end of September or early October. ![]() Chapter One Ava Miller closed up her soon-to-be shop for the evening. Her day had been full of blueprints, paint swatches, and phone calls. She was ready to head back to the place she called home these days and put her feet up for a relaxing evening. She was about to head for her car when she realized she didn’t have her keys or cellphone. Fiddling with the store keys again, she let herself back into the shop and made a mad dash to the back of the hollowed-out store. She spotted the car keys and phone on a small, round table. Sighing, she grabbed them and then ran back across the store. After she relocked the door, she turned to race down the side road but didn’t make it far. She ran headfirst into something hard and warm. Looking up, her gaze landed on a very fine-looking specimen. “Excuse me…. Sorry.” Wow, this man was hot! “You’re in a hurry. Is there a fire?” the handsome man asked. Ava let her gaze drift over his body and noticed the badge. She then batted her lashes and said, “There aren’t any speeding laws on the sidewalk, are there?” Today I have author Misty Burke on for a little chat. She just had a new release and has an exciting fall/winter coming up with new releases as well. ![]()
