(My friend Ashlynn Monroe has a book in Kindle Scout and would love your help in getting a nomination. I got the chance to beta read this book. I loved it. I'm not just saying that either. You see, it was a paranormal romance. I don't read much from that genre anymore, read it a ton a few years back. Anyway, I couldn't stop reading this book and when I finished it, I didn't want to read anything else. The book left me thinking and needing more. And thankfully it's set up as a series! Woo-hoo. I just might get my wish for more (s0 go vote for it!). Here's Ashlynn and a little about her book Moonlight's Peril that needs your VOTE! *** Hi, I’m so excited to be part of the Kindle Scout program, but I’m shamelessly begging for your help. For all of June, get The Hots Bods series boxed set on sale for $2.99 when it's normally $5.50. Amazon - Nook - Beachwalk Press Are you looking for a series that will not only make you swoon, but also heat you up? Look no further. The Hot Bods Series is a collection of four novellas, each one containing a feisty heroine and a hero who'll steal your heart. So come along with Skylar, Amy, Jane, and Francesca as they find their happily ever after, even when they feel like it will never happen. After all, it can't be as simple as falling in love, can it? Fool Me Once: Skylar fell for Drew once and he left her heartbroken, so when he shows up in her life again, wanting another chance, she isn't easy to convince. After all, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice… More Than Useful: Amy has admired Adam for quite some time, and when he finally asks her out, she couldn't be happier. But all Adam wants is a little fun…can Amy settle for that? Accidental Love: Sometimes there is only one thing to do when you get dumped—make the ex jealous with someone new. Which is exactly what Jane plans to do with Ben, an older, handsome man who has agreed to act as her new love interest. She just has to make sure she doesn't fall for him. Opposites Attract: Francesca thought she knew what she wanted in life until one stormy night when she got a blast from the past. When her car breaks down and the sexy tow truck driver who rescues her turns out to be her first love, she realizes she wants another chance with him, but Randy's still carrying a grudge about the way she dumped him. Content Warning: contains explicit sex and adult language Eek! The day has come. Release day!!! Holy moly, I can't believe it. I'm so excited yet so nervous. Does that feeling ever go away? A little about Strangers At The Altar. Yes, it's about two people getting married who have never met, matched by a team of experts. Wait...that sounds like a TV show. You're right! I'm obsessed with the TV show Married At First Sight and MAFS: The First Year. I watch it religiously when on, get angry, tweet about, etc. When I watched season 1, I kept thinking, this would make an awesome book. And each season I thought the same thing and finally thought, why can't I do it? Why am I waiting on some other author to do it, when I can? So, I did it. And I hope you'll enjoy it and it keeps you on the seat of your pants wondering how these two strangers are going to find love, especially with a hero lying about his true identity. I should be over the moon ecstatic with next weeks release, but the truth is, I'm nervous and scared. You see, since early fall of 2015, something shifted in my sales. Not just for me, but a lot of writers. (Knowing this makes me sad they have low sales, but also means I don't suck at writing, lol) I tell myself to keep my chin high, keep on writing, and soon whatever is going on will pass. I have good weeks. I see sales pick up and I think, "Finally!" But then next week comes, and it's back down. I'm not being over dramatic either. Last time I checked my dashboard on sales, I'd had 10 this month. 10 books with over 30 books on my back list. I'm going to be real, it makes me sad and hard to sit down and write anymore. I love to write, but in truth, I did get into this to make a career out of writing. And for awhile, I was. And I thank each and every one of my readers. I love you all. I really do. I love to hear how much you enjoyed my books. What it is you like, such as my dialogue, how I describe characters, and so on. It brings me so much joy. How about a little sneak peek into Strangers At The Altar, coming May 31st. I'm super excited about this one. *** UNEDITED EXCERPT - COPYRIGHT 2016 - LACEY WOLFE I took a deep breath. It was my wedding day. I couldn’t believe it. The last two weeks flew by. I had to clear my schedule and get some of my traveling out of the way so for the next six weeks, I could spend all my time with her. I had to play the part of a guy in marketing and not a partner at Wright Investments. I hadn’t stopped to think about if she’d recognize me or my name. Hopefully not. I paced the small room I was in, stopping every now and then to look at myself in my tux. They’d told me she liked deep purple, so my tie and vest were that color. I ran my hand across my short beard. I didn’t have a long one, but I did have a face full of facial hair. Women seemed to love it, I hoped my wife did too. My nerves were getting to me as I fixed my hair for the tenth time. This pacing wasn’t doing me any good. April already?! Seriously. Wow. Time sure does fly. I've been busy with writing, but recently took a little time off while the kids were on spring break. We went to Virginia Beach to visit my husband's sister and her kids. It was fun to get away for a few days and have no responsibility. No house to clean, no thinking about all my upcoming deadlines that have my head spinning. It was great to just have some fun. Play with my nieces and nephews and I even got to meet a friend/reader while I was there. Those are my kiddos on the beach. It was chilly, but we still got out there. My daughter is 9 and my son is 11. They look so small in the photo, lol. Like kids, usually when I look at them, all I see are these growing, grumpy tiny teens who call me mom. <3 I love them. |
