1. Tell us a little about yourself.  I’m boring so I’ll try to lighten it up.  I’m a cougar; yes, my husband is 7 years younger than me.  We have been married over 8 years but have been friends for 14 years.  We have a second grade son that keeps us busy and I’m a stay at home mom.  I gave up the corporate cube last year.  I figured over 26 years of soul sucking was enough for me and the family.  I was born in the great state of Oklahoma but raised in Dallas, TX.  Currently live in East Texas and couldn’t be happier.  Again, I’m boring…  LOL!

2. What genre do you write?  Contemporary

3. Please tell us about your latest release The Couple and how you came up with the idea?  Actually my inspiration for the story was the television show Modern Family.  It’s a favorite of ours and we can identify with Phil and Claire on so many levels.  My story is their happy ending.  

If you're an author than you might know how busy your "author life" gets. Let's not even mention what we call "real life". *Shudders*

I want to talk about keeping all the books your writing, got on submissions, and under contract in order. Because sometimes it gets overwhelming. I once read a marketing book that said in the eBook world of publishing you needed to have one you were working on, one in the slush piles, one under contract, and one releasing! Yikes. So, if you follow this rule, you need organization.

First let's assume you've written the book and your sending it out to submission. Use your calander and mark the day you queried, had your full requested, and such. Then count ahead the wait time and mark it as well. That way you can see the day approaching and know what dates you sent your work to which publishers. It can also help save your sanity as you stalk your inbox.

Oops, I'm a day late! I had to clean like a mad woman yesterday for a party at my house last night. Anyway, my week was pretty good with reading. I'm normally a novella reader. So since I read a full and novella, I'm happy!

Up first, SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE. I'm in a book talk group on facebook and this series has been the talk. So with this book on sale on amazon for 89cents and being the first one, I jumped at getting started.

I must admit, this one was slow starting. When I finished the book I appreciated the time the author took to set the story up, but in the beginning I was ready for the action to start. Georganne was a likeable heroine. I found her entertaining being a southerner myself. And John, he ended up winning points in my book, but he was a tough one at first to stomach. I definitely enjoyed the story a lot. And I will say, if you've read my novella THE NAKED TRUTH and loved it, there's a plot in this book that will be right up your ally! I'm hoping to start the next book in the series soon!

I actually love stories where one of them breaks the others heart. Not necessarily during the story but from the past. 

Take Drew from FOOL ME ONCE. He left my heroine in a hotel room after a wild night of sex and then when they reconnected, he had to work his tail off to get Skylar to forgive him.

And it was fun watching him squirm!
