When I first started writing years ago (before I was published), I wrote on a romantic suspense level. Then I began reading contemporary romances and then delved into erotic romance.
My first published work, Amber's Muse, is an erotic romance novella. And after I wrote that book, I dived head into being an erotic author. I have a series I've written, Hot Bods, which is a series of four books (novellas). I've even dived into the world of BDSM. I have one longer novellas, Bound By Pleasure, and several short stories in the genre. But now, I've embarked on sweet romance? Not really too sweet, my characters still get frisky, its just not in detail. Finding Home is the first contemporary I've written and last week I published another contemporary, Bare Necessities. But wait, Bare Necessities is also a romantic suspense (border line). Now under one pen name, I have a wide variety of different romance. Hopefully I have something for everyone. To be honest, I've wondered if it was a smart decision to use only one pen name. If someone reads Finding Home and loves it, and then they pick up Tempting The Manny, well they're in for a surprise. Its one reason I've set my website up the way I have. If I were to sit down and write a horror novel, well I would probably choose a different name, but since its all romance, I think its okay. In fact, I just finished writing a closed door story. I let my characters take me where they want to go and how sexy they want things to be. I suppose time will tell if I made the right choice or not doing it all under one pen name.

A close friend of mine, Tamaria Soana, has written a short story titled, The Calm Before The Storm. From now and the entire month of October, she is donating 100% of HER proceeds to a local women's shelter in her area. She is offering this great short story for 99cents and its available on Amazon. The last two years of Erica Bloom’s life have been spent looking over her shoulder. Sawyer Marsh promised the day she filed for divorce and left him, that if he couldn't have her no one would. Even though Sawyer hasn’t contacted her in two years she’s still feared for her life. She remembers all too well the nightmare their marriage was and what it felt to be on the receiving end of his wrath. The news of Sawyer’s engagement allows Erica to finally let her guard down and enjoy her new life and budding relationship with Brock Maxwell. While away relaxing at Brock’s vacation home on the Willow Lake, the past comes back to haunt her. Were the past few years just the calm before the storm? Buy: AMAZON A note from the author: This short story was written to raise awareness about Domestic Abuse. Statistics shows that every nine seconds in the United States a woman is assaulted or beaten by her partner. In October 100% of the proceed will go to my local woman shelter, then 50% for the life of the book. Today I have an author friend on. She was here earlier this month telling us about Sinful Urges and today she is telling us about her new book, FemDocs. I downloaded this book a few weeks ago and devoured it in one sitting. I loved it! Its the perfect read when your mad at your significant other or you wonder what the heck is wrong with the male race. Be sure to check it out! New Release!!! SciFi/Femdom FemDocs by Sonia Hightower It's the near distant future...and women are tired of being passive, of doting on men. It's time to put the cooking pots away. A group of top-notch woman doctors plan to eliminate the male population one man at a time, luring them to sperm banks, using man's lust and greed against them. By the time they are done, only the good, the kind-hearted, and the easily malleable will be left, allowing the women to form a new, respectful race of men. But when one doctor falls for an agent, can she save him in time, or does it mean going against all she believes?
2. What genre(s) do you write? Erotic historical western romance and contemporary romantic suspense. I’ve also written one mystery/suspense. 3. Please tell us about your latest release TAMING TALIA and how you came up with the idea? The hero of TAMING TALIA is a Pinkerton agent who appeared as a secondary character in SEDUCING THE SHERIFF. He was such a dynamic character that he had to have his own story. The original idea for the Loving the Lawman series came about after I watched HBO’s Deadwood. I loved the grittiness and the sexy lawman played by Timothy Olyphant. 4. Is it part of a series? Yes, TAMING TALIA is book two of my Loving the Lawman series. 5. A must have snack while you write. Chocolate and/or BBQ potato chips. And of course, Diet Coke. I had a story brewing in my head for a little while, but left it untouched because life was happening and I had other stories I had to get done. Finally, there was nothing on my plate. I finally started the story and then there was no stopping me. This story flowed and just kept flowing. I decided to push my word goal. My longest published story is 30k, and at first I thought, let's get it to 45k. Then I pushed it to 50. And I'm glad to say at the moment the book is sitting at 50,200. :) Its in the hands of two beta readers right now. And I have a whole list of their notes from the beginning of their reading. So, I have things I need to change and reword. I'd like it if I could add at least another 1000, but you never know what's going to happen on the second draft. I edited this while I wrote it, so I've caught most of the sentences missing words and expanded on areas.
Well, when I set out to write this book, I didn't plan on doing it in a month. But then, I decided, what the heck. Let's try. And here it is the 24th of September and I did it in less then 30 days. It feels awesome. I'm ahead of schedule. I've also decided to try my hand at one of the bigger publishers out there. The ones who will most likely reject me, but hey, I should at least try, right? Right! Must stay positive. They'll either want it or they won't. :) So, now as I wait on feedback from my beta readers, I'm going to clean my house. You know, when you write all day there's no time for cleaning. I have a lot of cobwebs. The bathrooms might need my attention as well. Oh, the joys. As soon as I have more details on Bidding Wars, I will pass it on! Scottish Werewolves: freaky Vampires and a Slayer with a bad addiction and an insane legacy. Add a big dose of sarcasm, sizzling chemistry; a lot of silver, and a ton of blood and . . . Welcome to The Blood Series! Cranberry Blood (Book 1 in The Blood Series) by Elizabeth Morgan Blurb: Killing Vampires? Easy. Tracking someone? Simple. Helping, and protecting a Vampire slayer . . . . Bloody hard work! Thirteen years ago, Brendan Daniels made a deal with a psychic. In exchange for information on the whereabouts of a Rogue Werewolf, he promised to help and protect Sofia's granddaughter. Unfortunately, he had no idea what he was letting himself, or his Pack, in for. Nothing about Heather is simple, from her weird dietary needs to her life’s mission. The girl can handle herself, but the promise to protect her soon becomes a need, and one that he can't fully understand. Vampire Slayer. Born Infected. Blood addict . . . but not by choice. Heather Ryan is the current Slayer in a long family line. Like all before her, she has spent her life searching for her ancestor, Marko Pavel, the Vampire her family has sworn to kill. If that isn't complicated enough, Heather is also a born "Infected" and to keep her from becoming insane or giving in to her darker side, she is on a very strict diet. Now that her Grandmother Sofia has passed, it is up to Heather to take the family legacy into her own hands; Or at least, it would have been, if her Grandmother hadn't sent a Werewolf to help her. What is the irritating Brendan supposed to help her with? Sofia never told either of them. Luckily, it doesn't take long for Heather and Brendan to find out that the Vampires have big plans, and that the Vamps have waited a long time for them both.
