The release of Bed, Breakfast, and You is right around the corner. As in ONE WEEK AWAY! YAY! Be on the look out on May 3rd! * * * * Claire holds the keys to her future, in more than one way. As if the recent death of Claire Stevens’ parents isn’t enough, someone wants to steal Honeycreek Bed and Breakfast right out from under her. But Claire isn’t about to roll over and let them. She’s prepared to fight. Jace Brown is Brookfield’s main attorney, and after delivering the bad news to Claire about her property, he knows all about being on her bad side. As Claire gets to the bottom of this scandal, she’s surprised to have Jace by her side, fighting along with her. The attraction is instant, but can it last after the dust settles? Welcome to the Save a Tree, Read an eBook hop sponsored by Rebel Ink Press. Thank you so much for stopping by. I promise not to keep you too long. One reason I joined in on this hop is one, I have a book with Rebel Ink Press, and two I love my eReader. I'm definitely all green there. I have not bought a paperback in over a year...maybe two since I got my first eReader. I love e-ink. I love the flexibility of the bookstore at my finger tips. I think I might even have a book buying addiction! Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a small sneak peek into Bed, Breakfast, and You. The next story in the Brookfield Series. Jace broke the kiss momentarily to trail a kiss down her neck to her collarbone, giving himself a peek at what she had inside her shirt. Damn, she had a full set and his tongue begged to taste. To dip down and lick between her breasts. Claire must have sensed how he was feeling. She pulled his face back to hers. And then she spoke and nearly gave him a heart attack. Cameron Manning has never forgotten his first love. Of Irish descent, he met red-haired, fiery tempered Lacey Kerrigan in England, but her family returns to Ireland unexpectedly and they haven’t any means of contact. He finds her and receives the surprise of his life. Lacey is thrilled to see Cameron, but is afraid of being hurt again. She keeps her distance and rebuffs his advances while he’s in Ireland, certain that a long distance affair will never work. But when tickets arrive for her to visit his home in Canada, she realizes his love is true and is willing to give them a second chance. Fate intervenes when they find a murdered man on Cameron’s back deck. All evidence points to Cameron as the killer. Can their reawakened love survive the stress of a murder investigation? Or will it be the catalyst that drives them apart forever? I've been bitten by the negative bug. And I imagine the little bugger looks a bit like that nasty thing. For the past 2 weeks, I have been down on myself and everything else. I've been getting my feelings hurt easily, and been trying to figure a way to climb out of this rut. And it isn't working. *Sigh* My house is a mess and today I want to clean it. Maybe if I can put it back together the way I like, I can start to feel better. But let's be honest, it isn't the house that is making me so cranky. It's something else. And I wish I knew what it was. When reading a story, do you enjoy when one of the characters has a pet? Do you feel like it adds to the story?
I love adding pets to my books. A majority of my books have one in it somehow and I try to have the pet throughout the story. Some a little more than usual. And each pet is based off a pet I know or have. Moxy from Amber's Muse - my dear friend had just gotten her own puppy Boston terrier. And the puppy was so cute and energetic. It was perfect for the story. Toby from Accidental Love - I have a lab myself and we had just finished dog training when I wrote this one, adding bits and pieces of things I had learned. And if there has been a cat in the story, you better believe its one I have already - since I have six cats. |
