![]() When Cordero Ybarra and Aspen O’Hare meet, there is an immediate attraction. But he holds his secrets close, refusing to open up about the night racial prejudice almost killed him. Aspen refuses to trust Cord—or any man. She’s been abandoned one too many times. When another woman lies and says Cord wouldn’t take responsibility for a child they created together, Aspen believes Cord is a deadbeat just like her father. It is only after she uncovers the truth that Aspen realizes Cord is nothing like the men who’ve deserted her before. When an immigrant worker is hanged by the same two crazies who branded him, Cord sees the truth. The shame he’s carried about being the victim of a hate crime is going to cost him the woman he loves if he can’t let go of his past. ![]() One year ago, my life changed. I didn't know how much it was going to change. My first novella, Amber's Muse, was published by Beachwalk Press. I have loved having a home with this publisher. My fellow authors there are so nice and supportive. The editors are superb. I have many rounds of intense edits, and when my book hits readers hands, I know they are getting top quality. When I look back at the past year, I see accomplishment. And this accomplishment has made me as a person feel confident. I had no idea I had the ability to do as much as I did in a year. Sure, I've been raising kids and that's an accomplishment, but the novella's I've produced, for me, feels amazing. I'm going to list all the books now that I wrote since Amber's Muse published. Not all of these are available for purchase or have homes, but this list always makes me feel proud.
![]() A fellow Beachwalk Press author has just released her debut book, The Monster of Fame. I first want to start this post off with giving you a quick review on what I thought of this book. Do you enjoy shows such as American Idol, The Voice, or X-Factor? If so, you're going to LOVE this book. And if you're like me and you don't watch those shows, well you're going to love this book! Oh, did you catch the theme there? Regardless, this book will suck you in and you will be lost. We all know Simon Cowell, unless you've been living in a cave these past ten years. He's kinda sexy in a bad boy way. He insults the singers anyway he can. Well, our heroine of this story, Anna, is a finalist in the show and she has a thing for the bad boy, Miles Oliver. Yum Yum! I think I have a crush on him as well. The chemistery was there in this book, the sexual pool, and when the hero/heroine finally hook-up, its detailed in a classy way. I enjoyed this book and I think its a perfect read for anyone who wants to get lost in a book. Now, continue reading for a blurb and excerpt. BTW, the book is available now on amazon, nook, all romance, and the beachwalk press website. Oh, and there is a giveaway! ![]() Looking to heat your weekend up with a spicy tale? I might just have one for you! Bound By Pleasure is the first BDSM I've written and I tried to create a story that wasn't as traditional as others of the genre. So, why do I think mine is different? I’m not the first to write a story about the heroine entering into this lifestyle for the first time. However, I think I stayed true to how someone would feel. Megan is scared and often doubts if this is what she wants. She likes the smoking hot sex, but giving up control isn’t as easy as she thought. And punishment, it’s something she doesn’t understand. For the life of her, she can’t figure out why anyone would want to be spanked. Also, I wanted my hero of the story to be different from most of the Dom’s readers read about. Greg isn’t a high-powered business man. He doesn’t spend his days in meetings and being in control of everything. Instead, he’s a struggling artist. He spends his days painting. His life is anything but organized. The heroine and hero themselves I think make my story unique. I love reading about the CEO Dom’s myself, but I thought this might put a little different spin on the story. My story isn’t hard-core, but more a romance of two people falling in love and getting a little kinky in the playroom. ![]() A close friend of mine, Tamaria Soana, has written a short story titled, The Calm Before The Storm. From now and the entire month of October, she is donating 100% of HER proceeds to a local women's shelter in her area. She is offering this great short story for 99cents and its available onAmazon. The last two years of Erica Bloom’s life have been spent looking over her shoulder. Sawyer Marsh promised the day she filed for divorce and left him, that if he couldn't have her no one would. Even though Sawyer hasn’t contacted her in two years she’s still feared for her life. She remembers all too well the nightmare their marriage was and what it felt to be on the receiving end of his wrath. The news of Sawyer’s engagement allows Erica to finally let her guard down and enjoy her new life and budding relationship with Brock Maxwell. While away relaxing at Brock’s vacation home on the Willow Lake, the past comes back to haunt her. Were the past few years just the calm before the storm? Buy: AMAZON After writing Bidding Wars, 50,000 words in less then 30 days, I took a little break from writing. My brain needed it. I did however do some edits and proofreads for friends. I got Bidding Wars all ready and currently have my eggs all in one basket, hoping that a certain publisher will like the story and pick it up. But, I don't want to say too much, I might jinx myself.
I all ready knew however, what my next project would be. I had a short story not long ago in an anthology. Well, the publishers closed down and I got the story back. During the time the story was available I got a ton of great feedback on the story. Reader's loved it and wished it could get its own story. Well, it is. Today I have been hashing out ideas, giving the story a little more depth, and developing the characters a bit more. Here was the original blurb: Darcy is down on her luck and can't believe it when she finds herself answering a help wanted ad for a wife. Steven's day starts to look up when the girl he longed for in high school answers his ad. Will these two finally find love in the most unusual of ways? Originally, this story was more on the erotic side. I've tried to cut that out and move this to a contemporary. It's not going to be closed door by any means. It will be contemporary on the lines of Finding Home and Bare Necessities. There is sex, but its not described in full detail. |
