Its Monday, again. The last Monday in my house. Crazy. I can't believe moving week is here. Hopefully we find a new home soon!
Lots of exciting things happened this past week. One, my first non-erotic, Finding Home, released! I'm thrilled to share this story. Its a sweet romance that I hope will touch readers hearts. Over the weekend, Sarah's Chase was marked as free. And I've been amazed to watch the sales rank drop! Sarah's Chase officially became my first book to hit best seller ranks! Thank you to everyone who downloaded this free story. I hope you enjoyed it. So what's next. Writing. I really need to get writing. Its been over a month since I've really sat down and typed away. I have two work in progresses, Bare Necessities, which will be another clean story, and the last Hot Bods book, Opposites Attract. All my edits are done from my back to back releases and I am glad. I can hopefully settle back into a writing routine, even with the kids being out for summer. I hope to see you next Monday. Be sure to stop by and see Carrie Ann Ryan and Lia Davis on their blog for their Manic Monday Updates..

Thank you Lacey for having me on your blog today. 1. Tell us a little about yourself. I talk a lot, write even more than I talk, and have spent more time online in the last four months than any adult should. I’m a wife, a mother of two teenage sons (just shoot me now) and I used to work as an ER RN. Loved that job, but enjoy my current working conditions better. And if you can believe it, the benefits are better now! Scrubs were comfortable, but a bathrobe is even better! 2. What genre do you write? A better question might be, what don’t I write. If it has romance in the book, I’ll write it. I enjoy paranormal and world building but I love contemporaries, too. Of course with any time travel you have to have a little historical or maybe even futuristic in them. 3. Please tell us about your latest release Highland Shifter and how you came up with the idea? Highland Shifter is the 4th book in a series. However, it’s a stand-alone title. It was time for the teenage children in my other three time travel books to grow up and get a life of their own. 4. Is it part of a series? The first three books, Binding Vows, Silent Vows and Redeeming Vows were a true trilogy. All three books were connected by one bad guy…er, girl. Highland Shifter kicks off the next three books in the series. 5. Advice to writers who have yet to be published. Writers write. This is a great job but in order to get better at it you must keep writing. Persistence is key to getting published. Yes, you can self publish and that might be the best thing you can do. But make darn sure you’re releasing the best book you can if you decide to go that route. 6. Any quirky habits? I love using big words but can’t spell them!12. What type of hero do you enjoy writing about? All of them. I like to think mine are different in one way or another or the books would start to sound the same. JMHO. 7. What are you currently working on? I’m working on the second book in my ‘Bride Series’ Married by Monday, and then Amber’s story. 8. Anything that you’d like to share. This last year has been a huge high for me as a writer. I released my first contemporary romance, Wife by Wednesday, which spread my work farther and to more readers than I could have ever dreamed. Making the USA Today Bestseller list and then the New York Times Bestseller list wasn’t something I ever thought I could do with a self published book. But I did, and I think there will be more and more authors to follow. It’s a great time to be a writer and I encourage everyone to follow their dreams. About The AuthorNew York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Catherine Bybee has been addicted to romance since her teens. After spending a decade of her life working as an RN in urban emergency rooms, Catherine is now dedicated to writing happily-ever-afters for the world to love. Catherine is married and raising two sons in Southern California.
She loves hearing from her readers so feel free to visit her at: Website / Blog / Facebook / Twitter It's Monday! And this is one Monday I love. This is my daughters last week of pre-k. Its the last Monday to myself. And I plan to enjoy it. Oh wait...I won't. I'm having to get as much packing and cleaning done as possible while she's at school. We are closing on this house May 18 and still haven't found a home. Nope, I don't have good news from the time before. We have put offers in on three houses and so far, no luck. :( Until we move, we won't be able to look at more homes. We have to get this one packed. But thankfully, my parents are going to lets us all come stay with them a bit. On book news, I just released a new short story, Sarah's Chase. Its a 5k BDSM/Cougar themed book. Its part of the KDP program from kindle. So for the first 90 days, this story will only be on amazon. Later this week, my first non erotic is due to release also. I am really excited to be dipping into the "cleaner" market of books also. Be sure to check back for details on Finding Home. I am actively working on Opposites Attract, the fourth book in my Hot Bods series as well as Bare Necessities, which will be another non-erotic with the Clearwater Series. I have also began edits on Bound By Pleasure, a BDSM that comes out in August. Check out the HOT cover on my Coming Soon page. Thank you for stopping by. I'll see you next Monday. Be sure to say hi to Carrie, who runs this meme and see what she's up to. Sarah's Chase is here! My short story that is a cougar and BDSM themes story. This is currently only on Amazon as part of their KDP program. AMAZON It’s been a long time since a man has satisfied Sarah. Deciding to put an end to her dry spell, she seeks out a younger man from her neighborhood with a reputation for pleasing women and taking control. After luring Chase back to her house with the simple excuse of needing a light bulb changed, she learns he’s a Dom. Is Sarah really ready for the pleasure that he can bring her? EXCERPT:Sarah paced her living room. What had she done? Did she really just walk down to the neighborhood pool and ask Chase to change a light bulb? Light bulbs that weren’t even blown. But by the way he looked at her, he had to know this wasn’t really about that. What if he was laughing with his buddies this very moment that some old lady wanted his help with something stupid? She did not think this through. That is what happens when you haven’t had sex and you decide you want it. She wasn’t thinking straight; hormones were doing the thinking. But Chase had looked incredibly sexy. He was shirtless and wearing navy floral trunks. His skin was a golden bronze color and almost matched his dirty blond locks. He had large brown eyes that held a seductive gaze at all times. When he’d looked her body up and down, she caught a slight bulge in his pants, which had caused a reaction in her she hadn’t expected. It had been a long time since just a look caused her stomach to flip in anticipation. But there was no way he was attracted to her. Surely she hadn’t really seen him harden. There was a light knock on the front door. He was here. Sarah straightened her white shorts and black tank top. Clearing her throat, she opened the door. “Hi Chase, thanks for coming on such short notice.” Chase stepped inside and, as he walked past her, Sarah took in his appearance. He changed into khaki cargo shorts and a wife beater shirt. His muscles were well defined and her mouth watered. She wanted to touch them so bad, to see just how hard they would feel. Closing the door, she watched as Chase looked up at her fan. “This is the fan that needs the light changed?” She nodded. Damn, maybe she had read his body language wrong. Perhaps he was just here to change that stupid bulb after all. “I guess I’ll climb up here to check it out, then.” “Thanks, I really appreciate it. I’m sure you would much rather be doing something else with your friends.” As he climbed the ladder, he looked back at her. “It’s no problem, really. I’m always glad to help a beautiful woman.” Did he really think she was beautiful, or was he just being nice? She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t notice Chase was now off the ladder and standing in front of her. “You didn’t really ask me here for help with your lights, did you?” he asked. She shook her head. If she had wanted to speak, there was no way she could. His stare was heavy and she wasn’t sure if he was mad or about to kiss her. “Tell me why you asked me here.” Buy: AMAZON
