Happy 2012! I hope this year is full of everything you want it to be. Before I give you all the details to this awesome giveaway, I'm going to share a memory with you from a New Years I've had. Don't worry, I'll make it quick.

My favorite New Years is actually one from a year, maybe two ago. Geesh, I can't remember. We let both the kids stay up with us. My husband is from an Italian family, so we made lentil soup and ate it with money in our pocket for good luck. This is something his family has always done and we continue to do it. We watched several movies with the kids and finally got to watch the ball drop. Now I just painted a nice rosie picture to the evening. When in truth, my husband and I ate the soup, the kids complained. And by 10:30 my kids were so cranky I was ready to turn in, but they begged to stay up and they did. Right after the ball dropped, I loaded them into bed and crawled into mine with my husband. However, I wouldn't have had it any other way. I enjoyed  letting them stay up and experience it, that way I have the rose colored glasses story to tell.

So, onto the giveaway. I am part of the New Years Blog Hop, so that means you get to comment on my blog and all the others one time on each blog. So I think that is 65 blogs. And what are those two grand prizes?

1. Kindle Fire!
2. (another winner) An $80 Amazon Gift Card

Two awesome prizes for two very lucky commenters!

And since you stopped by, I am also offering to one lucky commenter on my blog their choice of either of my book, Amber's Muse or Fool Me Once (each in ebook format). So be sure to leave your email so I can contact you if your the winner. **Both books are available now for purchase. Amber's Muse is currently on sale for $1.99!*

Good luck!

Sometimes it’s the person you least expect who can satisfy all your desires
By day Amber’s a librarian, and by night she hides away writing erotic romance novels. She has just one problem—not enough sexual experience to pull from. A recent steamy dream leaves Amber wondering if her neighbor Jax might be just the guy who can help her. He seems almost perfect to use as a sexual guinea pig, especially since she doesn’t have to worry about falling in love with him.
Jax has lived next door to Amber for a year and has tried everything he can think of to get her to notice him, but it hasn’t worked. Until recently. When Amber approaches him asking for his help, he’s ready to jump on board. When he learns exactly what kind of help she needs, he’s definitely willing.
Becoming involved with someone like Jax simply isn’t an option for Amber. He barely works, can’t manage his money, and has no ambition in life. So why does he suddenly seem so right for her?

Picture
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…
Drew is the last person Skylar wanted to see across from her at a local bar. A month ago he’d wined and dined her all weekend, leaving her feeling fully in love, but then she awoke alone in an empty hotel room and she hadn’t heard from him since.
The weekend Drew spent with Skylar was phenomenal. There had never been anyone who made him feel as complete as she did. He shouldn’t have disappeared, he should have called, but his feelings for her scared him, so he distanced himself. But when he saw her again, he knew he couldn’t stay away any longer.
Skylar’s determined not to give Drew another chance to hurt her, but he’s just as determined to win her back. Although it won’t be easy, he’s up to the challenge, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

I hadn't heard of the Itlaian custom of lentil soup on New Year's. I thought they banged pots and pans at midnight to scare away bad spirits. It probably various from region to region.

I love spending the evening at home with my kids, safely inside my own home. I end the year with them, and begin anew. It always amazes me to think of the promise of a new year :) richnkathy718 (at) msn (dot) com

We all hang out, each munchies and watch movies. The kids usually don't stay up til midnight, but since we're on the west coast, we can watch the ball drop at 9pm. That helps....then of course, usually the fireworks wake them up. This year they both said, 'ok, that's enough booms people.' Cracked hubby and I up!
Thank you so much! ;)

Haha! Love the memory! So true, isn't it? The kids look forward to staying up, but it's so hard on them (and us), and yet it really is a fond memory, once we get past it =)

I have never been one to stay awake to bring in the New Year - but when I was 21 years old, my best friend drug me out with her husband and friends to a pub to a New Year's Eve party that was really quite fun, so I'd have to choose that one, since it was my only experience *chuckle*
Thank you so much for the giveaway chance!

I hope 2012 brings you nothing but happiness and wonderful things!

We also spend our New Years with the kids. Usually playing games. Over the past couple of years we have started adding friends to the mix, and it really is a great time. The only defference now is some of the older ones have their own parties to attend. Brings me back to my younger days!

Sounds like all those times my mom let me and my sister stay up with her and my dad. They're good memories anyway :) The kids will always think so too. Both books sound really good but I think Fool Me Once intrigues me more.

Well my birthdays New Years eve so I could tell tons of stories from that! LOL But one of my most memorable would probably have to be last year just for how funny it was. My friend was 9months pregnant. Due any time and she decided that she wanted to play 'Just Dance' on my wii. So she seriously got into it. It was insane watching her dance with her big belly. I have it on video. Probably the funniest thing I've ever seen. :) Thanks!

I spend all of my New Years Eve with family, have for over a decade now, and they are fun. We eat a nice meal, have great appetizers for later in the evening, play games or watch a movie and then toast in the New Year. It's harder for the little kids to stay up so if they get tired...off to bed they go. Thanks for the giveaway

One of my fav New Year’s Eve was when I was in the Navy and me and my roommates invited about 100 people over and they all showed up and brought more guests. It was everything you can imagine it would of having that many sailors in one place. It wasn’t much longer after many of us shipped out to Iraq.

Every year, my best friend and her husband throw a massive NYE party. After almost everyone leaves, I sit around with some of my best friends, (we don't see each other nearly as much as we'd like to),and we just talk about the year just past, good memories -- it's just a wonderful way to celebrate, and we've made it an annual ritual.

Thanks for the giveaway and have a Happy New Year!

I LOVED Amber's Muse...only wished it were LONGER! We usually spend the evening inside with family and friends, lots of good eats...playing cards (poker) and listening to music until the ball's about to drop. Then the wine is poured, toasts made, kisses shared...and then the party usually continues for a little while longer. Those that drank a little too much, or came without a designated driver snuggle in for the night...that's just how we play. Better safe than sorry. :) Happy 2012!

My favorite memory.. well.. it’s not really a “memory,” but it’s a tradition that I still follow from back in my home country of Brazil. For New Years, the color of your clothing represents what you want for the new year. For example, many Brazilians wear white for peace and inner calm, but you see a few wearing red for passion or pink for love, some wear green in hopes of earning more that year as well. Every year i’m excited to see what colors people decide to wear on New Years, and I love getting together at the end of the year to see if their wishes came true.

My best NYE - We had a party for our friends and family. We could see the high school fireworks from our backyard. We all had a great time being together. Almost all the food was gone and the drinks...well there weren't any left..lol Those who needed to spend the night found a piece of floor and blankets and we had breakfast the next morning...some not so much LOL
