1. Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a Ghanaian American romance author who currently resides in sunny San Diego with Hubster, Bratlette, and Wonder Dog. I primarily write sexy superheroes paranormals and sexy interracial contemporaries. 2. What genre do you write? I write in Paranormal Romance and Contemporary Romance. I’ve got a YA or two brewing too. 3. Please tell us about your latest release Sexy in Stilettos and how you came up with the idea? For me Sexy was so fun to write. Jaya is probably the character that’s most like me. She’d hyper-organized and loves her plans and has no idea what to do when life throws her a curveball. My husband, though, an engineer, is far more spontaneous than I am. So I started wondering what would happen if you paired someone like me with an extreme opposite fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants kind of guy. 4. Is it part of a series? Sexy is the first of the In Stilettos series. Sultry will be next and Sassy will be early next year. 5. A must have snack while you write. Dairy Milk chocolate bars. If I’m lucky and made it to the British shop, I prefer the one with Hazelnuts J 6. A fact that someone might not know about you. I used to be a state track and field champion. Many many many…well a long time ago. 7. If you had to choose a favorite book that you’ve written, which would it be? Nooo. You can’t make me pick just one. They’re all special in their own way. Wait now, I sound like that mom who says she loves all her children equally. Lol. We all know she has a favorite. If you twisted my arm, I’d have to say Reluctant Protector simply because I’ve always wanted superpowers. But Sexy in Stilettos is so dear to me because Jaya is the most similar to me. 8. Advice to writers who have yet to be published. Don’t you dare give up and write your ass off like your future happiness depended on it. 9. Is there a genre you haven’t written yet that you want to? YA. I’ve got a couple of stories brewing, but they’re not ready to be written yet. When they are, they’ll pop into my head and refuse to leave until I evict them. 10. Any quirky habits? When I’m writing? The only really weird tick is I have to follow my plan. If I know I’ve got edits on one book an outline for another and a spew draft of another, I have to follow the plan. If I deviate, I get pretty overwhelmed then give up and watch Bravo for more hours than can possibly be healthy. Other than writing, I have too many to recount, but my husband says I apparently sleep with my eyes partially open. 11. Have you written a character that most resembles you? Jaya for sure. God I hope I’m not that crazy, but she’s most similar to me. 12. What type of hero do you enjoy writing about? Erm, sexy ones! Lol. In all honesty someone I would want to have a conversation with. So witty and sharp and quick. Of course a pretty face and six pack abs don’t hurt. *shrug* You need something to picture when you write a love scene ;) 13. What are you currently reading? Well I literally just finished The Hunger Games, I’m anxiously awaiting the next JR Ward novel 14. What are you currently working on? Next in line is Forsaken Protector, the sequel to Reluctant Protector, then comes Sultry in Stiletttos, the sequel to Sexy. 15. Anything that you’d like to share.
